Greetings!

I thought because of my free time today I would write this letter to SWLC just to say thank you and to let you all know about my journey as your scholar so far. I am a new scholar, just enrolled last year as a Scranton scholar and it was really amazing because having to hold my subject sheets with a 0 on the “to be paid” balance and showing it to my parents was a nice feeling to have, and I for one didn’t want that piece of paper to put me on cloud 9 too much that I’ll forget about my duties as a scholar, so as a first thank you, Thank You for making me motivated to stay on track in this complicated journey of being a college student.

Today though is February 1st, we started our new semester last month on January 16th, and having to repeat the process of enrolment I still feel the exact same joy of getting that piece of paper, but at that time it was more amazing because this semester is my 3rd to the last semester and with the help of the scholarship and with enough motivation I have passed my 4th to the last semester with ease, so again I Thank You for helping me get through that journey. So as far as my journey is going it is doing great! There are still some days where I completely lost track of what I should do or I lost track of time that I end up forgetting about certain important things but in the end with the help of everyone around me and the thought of getting a scholarship again by the end of the 2nd semester I have been able to pass it, so for the 3rd time, Thank You for letting me have this opportunity to just focus on studying and not think about financial problems that blocks the thought process of things I should be focusing on, Thank You for letting me help my family lift the weight of my tuition fee, it was a really great help to them to be able to spend the money on medical things and other important things such as my other sibling’s school fees, Thank You for keeping an open book, an open outlet for every single scholar to openly just discuss their journey’s with you, this organization, this family, has been a great help for all of us, for me especially I only had this opportunity for a half a year and I already know I should still keep on trying to get this opportunity until I am able to graduate and by that time I know I won’t be stopping on updating you on my journey because this can be quite a routine, a great routine, a very calming and reflective routine to have, and lastly Thank You because of your faith in God and having to openly tell us about having faith in God, it has been a source of motivation for me to just keep my hands on where God’s hands’ are, Thank You.

I hope this isn’t a big pretentious read for all of you there at Scranton, also, I missed the opportunity on being able to write for women’s rights, but I did make something for that still but I kept it to myself if I’m allowed an opportunity to share it I’ll share it, everything here at Scranton that involves sharing is honestly gives a gracious feeling.

That’s all I must say for now, till the next letter.

Sincerely your grateful scholar,
