Grateful for God’s Kindness and Providence

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

The school year 2017-2018 has ended,  yet, I cannot get over imaging how did I do all my chores as a teacher, a wife, a mother, a pastor,  a student and sometime assigned as school chaplain in the most busiest month of the year which was the Commencement month last March and early April 2018. It was also a month which I had so much concerned with how we as a family could be able to augment our daughter’s financial needs in school because also graduated last March in her Bachelor of Music degree at Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines.

However, despite of all the worries and problems God has reminded me as the apostle Paul once again advised me not to worry with our needs but to always believe that God is continually working with us and making all the ways to help and provide all our needs. I knew and I believed how God works in my life since childhood ‘till I finished my undergrad & Master of Divinity studies. God has showed me also how He was able to empower and helped me in my pastoral ministry for 19 years in the field. Hence, in all of my experiences in the ministries which I mentioned above, all I can say paraphrasing the words of Paul in Romans 8:28  is that, indeed, in all things God really works for good for those who love Him and those who are called according to His purpose. In everything that happened in my life, I knew that God has worked for me and will still be with me and all of us as we face another challenging life this school year.

Nevertheless, let us always hold fast with our faith and trust in God’s kindness and providence. That God would always provide all our needs and even blessing us with things we do not ask yet from Him. In God we can always persevere even how tough the road ahead of us, as long as we will continue to rely everything upon Him.  Thus, I am certain of God’s leading and empowerment as I face this coming challenging year in my student life, especially as I’ll do my thesis for my graduate studies. Moreover, words are not enough for me to express how thankful am I to God through the Scranton Women Leadership Center for being again a recipient of their graduate program scholarship. Thank you very Scranton scholarship committee and all who shared your material resources for this continuing endeavour. God be praised and glorified in all the Scranton ministries.

 God bless us all!

Sincerely,
